The Engineering Spirit
Today for my Engineering and Design class, we had to brainstorm solutions for an elderly military veteran with ataxia, that would improve his typing accuracy. Here are just some of our brilliant proposed solutions:
-wolverine (claws attached to bone, great for marketing)
-magnetic field
-Virtual Reality (think to type)
-Dance Dance Revolution foot keyboard (Is the user Asian…?)
-Apple Scroll wheel keyboard (as featured on The Onion)
-Gorilla Glue (Not sure where we were going with this one)
-New Hands (think Edward Scissorhands…but the opposite)
-Fake nails (with camouflage style nail polish)
-Attaching Pringles (the corn chips) to finger tips
-Wall sized keyboard (push with entire hand to type a letter)
-Trained Hummingbirds
I think I’ll enjoy engineering =).
